Dancers, like professional athletes, need to position themselves for a career path after they retire from the stage

Dancers, like professional athletes, need to position themselves for a career path after they retire from the stage. A dancer’s professional performance career is brief, and Alberta Ballet would like to ensure the continued success of our company dancers. This year, the fund provided $20,000 toward dancer training in areas like Personal Training certification, Business Management, Social Work and Kinesiology studies.

You can be part of supporting Alberta Ballet dancers in their pursuits.

The greatest benefit of the dancer development program is that it allows us to explore post-ballet career opportunities. Post-Secondary education is expensive, especially during our lay-off time. The program provided me the liberty to study and progress in my academic career without having to worry about financial constraints.
